5. The Last Of Us Remastered (91/100) | The Last of Us Remastered was the highest rated game EVER on Metacritic prior to the release of Grand Theft Auto V, receiving a score of 95/100. The game contains some top-notch and compelling storytelling, that will you have questioning your sanity in a SHTF situation. I put it at 5, because it was technically not a new release, but a great game nonetheless. |
4. Destiny (86/100) | What can I say about Destiny? You either love or hate it, with virtually no middle ground. Destiny was a very high budget game, that garnered mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. It has some good gameplay, and even better landscapes |
3. Far Cry 4 (90/100) | I have not played a Far Cry game since Far Cry 2, however I can tell by the amount of friends I have who are currently playing it and various gameplay videos on YouTube that it is a great game.. |
2. Grand Theft Auto V (94/100) | Technically not a new release, but a re-release this year. But even as a re-release GTA V is a Game of the Year candidate! I loved the carnage and comedy on PS3, and have yet to buy it for PS4, but I do plan on it. |
1. Dragon Age: INquisition (96/100) | Dragon Age is a mind blowing game. I bought it about a week and a half ago and I have clocked more 20 hours playing the game - with many sessions lasting over 4 hours because of all of the distracting things to find in the game. Love it. This game defintely gets my Game of the Year vote (that is if I had one). |
I used only IGN YouTube reviews for this game because I find them to be for consistent and informative than some of the other reviews posted online.
* You may find that some games have higher rating and are ranked lower, these rating are entirely my opinion, and the game orders are mostly based on sales and other reviews.
