NFC West: San Francisco 49ers
Record: 11-5 The NFC West has been a toss up the last few years between Seattle and San Francisco. San Francisco will not take a step backwards this year. The Seahawks make go 12-4 this year, and I am predicting the Niners will compile two of those losses. NFC South: New Orleans Saints Record: 10-6 The Carolina Panthers won the NFC South last year, but the Panthers' front office didn't do Cam Newton any favors when they let all of his receiving threats go this off-season. Drew Brees and the Saints have the most complete team in the division and have won two of the last five Divisional championships. NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles Record: 10-6 Chip Kelly's high octane offense lead the upstart Eagles to a Divisional championship last year, I expect them to repeat and claim their Division title in back to back years. NFC North: Green Bay Packers Record: 11-5 The NFC North title has gone through Green Bay the last three years. The other three teams in the NFC North just have not been able to dethrone the Pack - I do not expect anything to change this year. AFC West: Denver Broncos Record: 14-2 The Broncos have won the AFC the last three season. They still have a first ballot hall of famer playing QB, and also added some pieces in free agency on the defensive side of the ball, with the likes of Demarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and TJ Ward. AFC South: Houston Texans Record 10-6 The Houston Texans had an awful year last year. I expect them to go from worst to first this year in their respective division. They have added some great pieces via the draft, which include Jadeveon Clowney, Louis Nix III and Max Bullough. I look for this team to be a dark horse Superbowl contender this year. AFC East: New England Patriots Record: 10-6 The Patriots have won 11 Divisional championships since 2001. I expect nothing to change. AFC North: Cincinnati Bengals Record: 9-7 The Bengals have a young team that has been very competitive in the NFC North. I expect them to repeat as contenders over the aging Ravens and Steelers and the turnstile of rebuilding that is the Cleveland Browns. Quarterback
Grades: 190 - 200 (A) = Elite. NFL Ready Player. Usually a first round pick 180 - 189 (B) = Player who can make an immediate impact in the NFL. Usually a mid first round to early second round pick 170 - 179 (C) = Player who can succeed in the NFL, but will take time to develop. Usually a mid second round pick to early fourth. 160 - 169 (D) = Player who still have the potential to succeed, but often times will not. Mid fourth round to late fifth. 100 - 159 (F) = Players who are considered a long shot in the NFL, usually drafted in the late fifth or don't get drafted at all. Grades are based solely on talent. Yes, some prospect have high score and rank lower, this list is based on who analyst predict to go first. Score are solely my opinion. 1. Kansas City Chiefs Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia Geno Smith has all the potential in the world. He will determine whether he will be a bust or not with his play. 2. Jacksonville Jaguars Star Lotulelei, NT, Utah Star is a big man, I consider Tyson Alualu to be somewhat of a bust, I see him being washed frequently on double teams, and Lotulelei makes perfect sense here. Terrance Knighton will be resigned and the Jags will have a furious duo of run defenders. 3. Oakland Raiders Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M This was the man charged with the task of replacing Von Miller. He filled adamantly and has played his way to being a first round pick. 4. Philadelphia Eagles Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M Never in my wildest dreams would I have mocked two player from A&M going back to back in the first 5 picks. The Eagles major problem this year was the offensive line after Jason Peter was lost for the season, the Michael Vick's career was doomed. Joeckel will be a franchise tackle for 10+ years for the Eagles. 5. Detroid Lions Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State Werner is an explosive pass rusher who fills a major need for the Lions. With Vanden Bosch likely getting cut before the season begins. Werner will be a perfect fit for the Lions pass rush first defense. 6. Cleveland Browns Keke Mingo, OLB/DE, LSU Mingo played a myriad of talented defensive lineman and out shined them all over the past two seasons. The Browns are one of those teams who run a a combo 3-4 4-3 defense and Mingo fits the mold. 7. Arizona Cardinals Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan Eric Fisher is the best player no one has heard about. He stuffed every top pass rusher at the senior bowl and is deserving of his slot. The Cardinals are in need of a LT, and have been for several season. Watch this video of him. The yearly edition of Madden has finally grace us with its presence. I have observed some good, aswell as some bad from my Gameplay, which has only consisted of Connected Careers (CC) mode. Replay value: 9.5/10 - This game is extremely replayable. I guarantee you will never the EXACT same hit twice in this game with the new Infinity engine. Features: 9/10 - A big step forward for Electronic Arts. A more fine tuned engine will make this game perfect. Bugs/Glitches: 6/10 - A lot of players flopping around after hits. I personally do not like this and it gets a bit annoying at times. (higher score is better). Difficulty: 10/10 - Depends on the user's skills. I play on All-Pro because All-Madden is godly, even with the worst of teams. Graphics: 9.5/10 - Extremely crisp graphics. My wife commented on how much better the grass and stadium looks (she doesn't play video games at all). Overall: 44/50 or 88/100 - A refreshing take on football, with room for improvement. I give this series until 2kSports gets a license from the NFL to drastically improve. NFC North
Green Bay Packers Rather hard to pick between the Lions and Pack. The Pack has the experience and the secondary to cover the pass happy NFC North. Record: 13-3 NFC South Atlanta Falcons The Falcons have the firepower and the pass rush to handle the likes of Brees, Newton and Freeman. The Saints are another contender, but the bounty scandal will be a huge distraction. A defense minus Vilma and Smith is a defense will no leadership and one that will give up more than 100 rushing YPG and 350 passing YPG. Record: 11-5 NFC East Philadelphia Eagles The Eagles have an all pro at just about every position on the team. Both sides of the ball are extremely talented and will dethrone the Giants. Expect a very deep run in the playoffs by this team. Record: 10-6 NFC West San Francisco 49ers No one in the west can seriously compete with the Niners. No point and really analyzing the weakest division in professional sports Record: 12-4 AFC North Baltimore Ravens It is a toss up every year in this division. Every team runs the ball extremely well and all four defense are ranked in top 5 just about every season. Just because T Sizzle is out does not mean the Ray Lewis and the boys will struggle. Sergio Kindle and Dont'a Hightower will fill in just fine. Record: 14-2 AFC South Houston Texans The Texans will dominate this division for at least five more years. Luck and Gabbert are both unproven, and the Texans defense prays on inexperienced QBs. Record: 12-4 AFC East New England Patriots Tom Brady has ruled this division the past decade. No other team has come remotely close to dethroning the Pats. I predict lots of blow out games and one or two close ones Record: 13-3 AFC West Denver Broncos The Broncos made it to the playoffs with Tebow at the helm, Manning is running the ship now and expect very few contested games. Record: 12-4 1. Indianapolis Colts - Andrew Luck - QB
Essentially a no brainer for the Colts. With rumor circulating around the League that Peyton will not return to Indy, this is the best draft pick for the Colts. Luck is one of the best, if not the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning - some say since John Elway who;s alma mater just so happens to be Stanford. 2. Cleveland Browns - Robert Griffin III - QB Colt McCoy just isn't the answer in Cleveland. St. Louis is not in the running for a QB so Cleveland must do everything in there power to trade up to snag RG3, he has the potential to be a franchise QB. 3. Minnesota Vikings - Matt Kalil - OT Charlie Johnson is second worst left tackle in the NFL, trailing on Levi Brown of the Cardinals. Matt Kalil is a day 1 starter for Vikings. 4. St. Louis Rams - Justin Blackmon - WR The Rams trade down to grab Blackmon, as no other team in the top 5 will be eyeing him, due to other glaring needs. Although OL is a MAJOR priority for the Rams, they must acquire a receiving threat for QB Sam Bradford. 5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Morris Claiborne - DB Aqib Talib is old, and has proven he is no longer a starting caliber CB in the league. Claiborne is a solid DB from the SEC with solid ball and tackling skills and would be the successor to Talib. 6. Washington Redskins - Riley Reiff - OT The Redskins like many other teams at the bottom of the NFC need to upgrade their offensive lines. Reiff is a former TE and has the athleticism and strength to play either tackle positions. 7. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jonathan Martin - OT Jags need another young tackle to compliment Eugene Monroe. Martin is a perfect fit, coming from a pro system at Stanford he has the potential to be better than any tackle drafted before him. 8. Miami Dolphins - Michael Brockers - DT Miami is transitioning to a 4-3 defense and needs an athletic 3-technique to compliment that big NT in Soliai who is close to 360 pounds. Brockers possess a rare burst, motor and has a bit of a mean streak in him. 9. Carolina Panthers - Quinton Coples - DE/DT Coples is really hard to grade. He is a 245 DL who is versatile, but he excels at the interior DL positions and flops on the edge. Charlie Johnson has become a stud after replcing Julius Peppers and Coples will give the Panthers a versatile DL on pass-rushing downs. 10. Buffalo Bills - Melvin Ingram - DE Like the Dolphins the Bills are switching to a 4-3 defense and will need to draft the according talent. Ingram is a bit short for a DE standing at only 6'1" but has an elite burst off the edge. 11. Kansas City Chiefs - Trent Richardson - RB Richardson is no doubt a top 5 talent, and is a steal for the Chiefs at 11. With Thomas Jones reaching his 30s and Jamaal Charles tearing his ACL last year Richardson has the ability to spell, and possibly even start if Charles is not 100% coming off his surgery. 12. Seattle Seahawks - Devon Still - DL Another versatile DL who could excel in either a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme, Still is a solid player and will be a welcome addition to the Seahawks defensive line. 13. Arizona Cardinals - David DeCastro - OG With talks of Manning going to the desert, the Cardinals will have to invest in protection for him. 14. Dallas Cowboys - Janoris Jenkins - CB The Cowboys love players who can play with off the field issues. All joking aside the Cowboys secondary is deplorable and Jenkins is a much needed upgrade for the Boys. 15. Philadelphia Eagles - Luke Kuechly - LB Kuechly played MLB at Boston College but is a better fit at weak side LB because he is pretty small backer. But this guy is tackling machine, who just knows how to play football. He is the type of player who will bring his lunch to work everyday and present no problems. 16. New York Jets - Courtney Upshaw - OLB/DE Rex Ryan needs a pass rush off the edge so Revis and Cromartie aren't left on island 80% of the time. Upshaw has experience in the 3-4 coming from Alabama and will start from day 1 to compliment Calvin Pace. 17. Cincinnati Bengals - Dre Kirpatrick - CB After losing Jonathan Joseph to the Texans, the Bengals must replace him during the draft. Kirkpatrick is a huge CB standing a 6'2" and can cover the big 6'5" receivers team tend to covet now. 18. San Diego Chargers - Mark Barron - DB The Chargers signed Bob Sanders last year and that didn't go all too well, but Barron is hard hitting safety who has great ball skills and unlike Sanders does not have problem staying healthy. 19. Chicago Bears - Alshon Jeffery - WR Most mocks have Kendall Wright here, I disagree if Jeffery can runs well at the combine posting a time of 4.5 or better the Bears will be getting a steal here, Jeffery is a huge receivers who is a hands catcher and would provide a much needed boost to the Bears receiving corps. 20. Tennessee Titans - Cordy Glenn - OL Glenn is a big, big man, and project to play OG at the next level. He also has experience playing tackle. He does not have the athleticism to play LT, but could be a mauler at the RT position. But the Titams have to great tackle in Roos and Stewart and Glenn will end up at Guard. 21. Cincinnati Bengals - Lamar Miller - RB I haven't read much on Miller but from what I understand he is a perfect fit for the Bengals terrific run blocking offensive line. 22. St. Louis Rams - Mike Adams - OT Like Miller I haven't read much on Adams, but the Rams need to keep Sam Bradford upright and he is rated as the next best player available. 23. Detroit Lions - Nick Perry - DE The Lions DL will be depleted if Cliff Avril leaves for more money and Perry is a perfect fit for the Lions defensive scheme. 24. Pittsburgh Steelers - Dont'a Hightower - LB James Farrior if I'm not mistaken is the eldest player on the Steelers defense and Hightower is a more than ample replacement for him. He hits hard and can cover, what more can you ask for out of a linebacker? 25. Denver Broncos - Fletcher Cox - DT Cox is a great run stuff and pans out well for the Broncos 3-4 defense, possible as a 0-technique, but could excel at any of the three positions. 26. Houston Texans - Kendall Wright - WR Wright is a great fit for the Texans, if he runs a sub 4.3 40-time at the combine or his pro day the Texans have found another downfield threat to compliment Andre Johnson. 27. New England Patriots - Michael Floyd - WR The Patriots have need a receiver to replace Randy Moss since he left and Michael Floyd should have no problem filling that void. 28. Green Bay Packers - Whitney Mercilus - DE/OLB Packers need a pass rusher opposite Clay Matthew and Mercilus is the answer here. 29. Baltimore Ravens - Vontaze Burfict - ILB Burfict is my favorite linebacker this year he is big at 6'3 250 pounds, he's nasty and is a perfect successor for Ray Lewis who will probably retire after the 2012 season. 30. San Francisco 49ers - Peter Konz - C With the likes of Joe Staley, Mike Iupati, Adam Snyder and Anthony Davis, the 9ers can have the most dominant offensive line in football next season. 31. New England Patriots - Alfonzo Dennard - CB The New England secondary is in a state of chaos. It was so bad they enlisted Julian Edeleman, who plays WR to play CB for them. Dennard is a talented corner who is similar to Prince Amukamara, who was a first rounder a year ago. 32. New York Giants - Dwayne Allen - TE TE rarely get drafted in the first round. With Jake Ballard and Travis Beckum possibly being placed on the PUP list come September Allen is great receiving threat like Vernon Davis, but he is not a great blocker. Picks by Position. QB - 2 WR/TE - 5 OL - 7 DL/OLB - 8 RB - 2 LB - 3 DB - 5 I know I am missing some positions, read this over and over and cannot find them to save my life. Comment to let me know what 3 position I am missing Went 6-5 last week. So, looking to improve this week.
Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers. 27-24 Oakland. Raiders win with an upset over San Diego. Rivers is playing good, but not good enough. Buffalo Bills at Dallas Cowboys. 35-28 Bills. Fitzpatrick is the most underrated overall QB in the history of the NFL. Circle the Wagons. Tennesesse Titans at Carolina Panthers. 21-18 Panthers. Can you say Cam Newton? He is a monster, he puts the team on his back and ,he better have a good game this week - my fantasy team demands it. Houston Texans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 35-21 Texans. Mario Williams and possibly Andre Johnson are out for this game. Look for less deep balls, and more short-medium routes from the Texans this weekend. Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts. 28-7 Jaguars. Colts are a good team - with Peyton Manning, without they will go winless this season. Arizona Cardinals at Philidelphia Eagles. 35-14 Eagles. The Cardinals just benched former Phily QB Kevin Kolb, Philly wins with ease. New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons. 28-27 Falcons. Michael Turner is the answer to Atlanta winning this game, this week. Feed him the rock in the 1st, 2nd and 4th and good things will happen. St. Louis Rams at Cleveland Browns. 17-14 Browns. Yeah, Sam Bradford is good, but the Rams are not. Browns have slightly more talent, and will pull of the Victory. Washington Redskins at Miami Dolphins. 21-17 Redskins. Matthew Watson pointed out to me that the Dolphins won a game last week. :o Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs. 35-31 Chiefs. I am still not a Tebow believer. Pittsburg Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals. 35-17 Steelers. Steelers normally dominate this game, and I expect nothing different in this game. Baltimore Ravens at Seattle Seahawks. 35-7 Ravens. The Seahawks are just awful, and the Ravens just beat a red hot Steelers team. Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears. 35-21 Lions. MEGATRON is a man amongst boys, and all of Chicagos DBs are boys. New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers. 14-10 Giants. The Gians D-Linemen are some of the best in the biz. Pierre-Paul gets better and better each week, he will amass 2 sacks and a ton of pressure this week. New England Patriots at New York Jets. 35-28 Patriots. Tom Brady will have a much better game than his previous two. Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers. 28-21 Packers. Coming from a Vikings fan, this is normal now, the Pack is undefeated for a reason. Christian Ponder is not the anwer in Minnesota. Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs. 24-7 Chiefs. The Phins are winless for a reason..This week will be no different.
Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys. 30-17 Cowboys. The Seahawks are a joke, as much as I hate the Cowboys I have to admit they will win. Tampa Bay Bucs at New Orleans Saints. 38-24 Saints. An angry Saints team playing a divisional rival? Saints all day. San Francisco 49ers at Washington Redskins. 21-0 49ers. 9ers dominate on the east coast, Redskins offense is also struggling. Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans. 24-14 Texans. Peyton Hillis is out, and he's the man in Cleveland. Atlanta Falcons at Indianpolis Colts. 35-14 Falcons. The Colts have been a one man team for the last decade, and it has shown with their 0-8 record. Cinncinnati Bengals at Tennessee Titans. 28-27. Bengals play hard and with Rookies AJ Green and Andy Dalton leading the charge they leave with a W. Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders. 35-0 Oakland. The Broncos are a Joke and so is Tim Tebow, McFadden will rush for over 120 yards today and Palmer will throw atleast 2 TDs. New York Giants at New England Patriots. 24-17 Giants. Eli Manning is red hot, and Tom Brady is not so hot heading into this week. Green Bay Packers at San Diego Chargers. 38-35 Packers. Rivers will look to improve on last week's melt down, but the Pack is just too good, this coming from a Vikings' fan. Saint Louis Rams at Arizona Cardinals. 24-7 Rams. The Cards benched Kevin Kolb and are starting John Skelton this week, who is a career backup. Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburg Steelers. 35-21 Steelers. We all know the Steelers remember the ass whooping Baltimore put on them earlier this year. Yea so do the Steelers. Chicago Bears at Philiedelphia Eagles. 24-21 Eagles. The Bears Tampa Defense is not designed to stop speedy recievers. |
